Major landslide blocks river in Nepal

A massive landslide in Nepal has blocked the Sunkoshi river and created a large lake in the Sindhupalchowk area, east of Kathmandu. At least 12 people were killed by the landslide that destroyed many homes. Thousands of people were forced to evacuate to higher ground. There are fears that the dam that created the new lake may burst, releasing a wall of water downstream.
