Major rail disruptions expected on 29-31 August due to strike

Due to a 3-day strike called by First Great Western drivers in the U.K., expect rail disruptions on August 29, 30 and 31.

The rail company said it was running 70% of services as normal. Some train routes are running with amended schedules.

Advice For Travellers

Expect some delays, more crowding than usual on some trains, and some last-train services to leave earlier than usual.

No services will run between Severn Beach and Bristol Temple Meads
Trains between Looe and Liskeard, Newquay and Par, Falmouth and Truro and Plymouth and Gunnislake will not operate.

The Night Riviera sleeper services in Cornwall and Devon have been cancelled on Sunday and Monday.

No services are running between Weymouth and Westbury.

Reading to Gatwick services will operate hourly and terminate at Redhill.

Extra shuttle services will run on between Reading and London on Monday because of the Reading Festival.
