For the first time in 4 years, 4 cases of malaria have been confirmed in the community of Colombiatón in Cartagena. Travellers to this region can reduce their risk of exposure to malaria by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is not recommended at this time.
