Advice For Travellers

While the risk of exposure to malaria will vary from place to place, the risk may be high where malaria transmission is most intense, i.e., the state of Bolivar. Any traveller to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
