Malaria cases increase significantly in Cambodia

Although the number of reported deaths due to malaria has decreased this year (64 compared to 82 deaths at the same period last year), health authorities have recorded a total of 43,991 cases of malaria through September this year. This total is greater than the number recorded last year.

Travellers to Cambodia should be aware of the risk of exposure to malaria and take all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
