Malaria cases triple in South Sudan

So far in 2012, teams of health workers have hospitalised more than 1,000 children with malaria in Northern Bahr-el-Ghazal State of South Sudan. Travellers to this region can reduce their risk of exposure to malaria by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
