Malaria cases will peak after monsoons in Sindh, Pakistan

So far, from January through June, there have been 22,721 malaria cases reported in Sindh in the first six months of this year. Since the peak season for malaria transmission occurs after the monsoons (July 15 until mid-November), more cases are expected.

Travellers to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
