Malaria deaths in Namibia

Sixty of the more than 38,000 people infected with malaria have died this year. The most affected regions include Kavango East and West, Zambezi, and Ohangwena.

Advice

All travellers to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
