Malaria is out of control in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo

Malaria in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo is reported to be out of control. Of the 45,000 malaria cases treated by Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF or Doctors without Borders) in the last 4 weeks, approximately 80 percent are children less than 13 years of age.
