Malaria is serious risk in northern Uganda

In the last 3 months, there have been almost 375,000 people infected with malaria in 10 districts in northern Uganda that include Agago, Amuru, Apac, Gulu, Kitgum, Kole, Lamwo, Oyam, Nwoya and Pader.

Advice For Travellers

Any traveller to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
