Malaria is widespread in northern Uganda

In the past 2 months, the number of cases of malaria has grown to 22,873 cases and about 162 deaths in 10 districts. Kitgum district is the most affected followed by Lamwo, Gulu, and Pader districts

Advice For Travellers

Any traveller to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
