Malaria keeps increasing in Mozambique

Last year (2014), there were almost 5,500,000 cases of malaria with more than 3,200 deaths. Compared to 2013, there was an increase of more than 1.5 million cases. On average, in 2014, roughly 1 out of every five people was infected with malaria.

Advice For Travellers

Any traveller to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
