Malaria may be increasing soon in New Delhi, India

With 2 or 3 cases of malaria being reported by local hospitals every week, there are early signs that malaria will be increasing in the coming weeks in New Delhi. Temperatures are soaring to 40 C (104 F) which favours an increase in the mosquito population that can transmit malaria. Any traveller to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
