Malaria medication in short supply in Rwanda

There is a report that malaria medication for treatment of infected people is increasingly difficult to find, even in large pharmacies. An increasing number of infected people has led to shortages of medications for treatment.

Travellers to Rwanda should be aware that, if they do not choose to take anti-malaria medication to prevent infection, they may encounter some difficulties obtaining drugs for treatment, if they become infected.
