Malaria resurfaces in three areas in Madagascar

Malaria cases have been reported at alarming levels in three regions including Vatovavy-Fitovinany, Atsinana and Androy. In addition, 20 children have died from malaria in the district of Ankazobe this year. Travellers to these regions can reduce their risk of exposure to malaria by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
