Malaria spreads in Chandrapur Municipality, Nepal

Malaria is reported to be spreading in Chandrapur Municipality in the Rautahat district, Central region. There have been 15 reported cases in the past 2 months. Malaria continues to be major public health problem in 65 out of 75 districts.

Travellers to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
