Many cases of hand, foot and mouth disease in Singapore

There have been many cases of hand, foot and mouth disease reported in Singapore this year. With several hundred new cases registered every week, the total for the year has reached almost 40,000 infected people, most of whom are children.

Advice For Travellers

Small children are most susceptible to infection with this virus. Travellers who are travelling with small children can decrease the risk of exposure to hand, foot and mouth disease virus by washing hands frequently and by maintaining careful personal hygiene.
