Many Killed in Boko Haram Attack on Village in Chad

A Boko Haram attack on a village south of Daboua near the border with Niger left at least 18 people dead and forced the evacuation of at least 3,000 villagers. The fighters also kidnapped 10 women.

Many areas around Lake Chad are controlled by Boko Haram. Due to armed conflict and lack of personal security, traveller should avoid all travel in this area.
