May Day protests expected in France

In France, some unions plan to hold protests against proposed labour reforms on May Day, Sunday, May 1, 2016. Spontaneous and unplanned protests could occur in any urban area. Planned demonstrations are as follows:

  • Paris: Place de la Bastille - Participants will gather at 15:00 and march to Place de la Nation.
  • Bordeaux: 10:00 at Place de la République
  • Lille: 13:00 at Halluin
  • Lyon: 13:00 at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, La Manufacture des Tabacs and Place Bellecour
  • Marseille: 10:00 at Place Joliette
  • Strasbourg: 10:30 at Place Kléber
