Measles - Boston, USA (update)

Health authorities continue to investigate a potential outbreak of measles in Boston after many persons were exposed to an infected employee at the French consulate. To date, one laboratory confirmed case and 3 additional suspected cases have been reported. Although the level of immunity due to previous vaccination in the population is high, vaccination clinics have been implemented to contain any further spread.

Travellers who were potentially exposed during the period of February 7-10, 2011, in the building housing the French consulate should ensure that their childhood vaccinations are up-to-date.
