Measles cases continue in France.

In total, health officials have recorded nearly 3,600 cases of measles in March 2011. There was a slight decrease in the total number of cases in April (3,100). To date, there have been 14 cases with neurological complications, 444 cases with severe pneumonia, and 6 deaths.

Travellers to France should be aware of the risk of exposure to the highly infectious measles virus and ensure that their childhood vaccinations are up-to-date.
