Measles - Denver, USA (update)

The reported case of measles that travelled through the Denver International Airport while infectious, may have exposed a large number of passengers. Her itinerary began in the United Kingdom to Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. She then travelled to Denver before going on to Albuquerque, N.M., which was her final destination.

State health officials are in the process of determining who may have been at risk of exposure based on the seats they occupied at the time this person was travelling. Health officials will try to contact persons who are thought to be at risk.

Travellers should be aware that measles is a highly contagious disease. Anyone who was travelling in these airports in the February 7-10 period may have been exposed and should ensure that their childhood vaccinations are up-to-date.
