Measles - Geneva, Switzerland (update)

Since January 2011, a total of 58 cases of measles (41 of whom have been confirmed by laboratory tests) have been reported in the ongoing outbreak in the Canton of Geneva. Simultaneously, greater than 900 cases of measles have been identified in the neighboring region of Rhone-Alpes, France.

Travellers to this area should be aware of the risk of exposure to measles and ensure that their childhood vaccinations are up-to-date.
