Measles in Rhode Island, USA

A traveller from Italy who arrived in Rhode Island after flying to New York on April 12th has been confirmed with measles. This is the first case of measles in Rhode Island in 20 years.

Travellers should be aware of the possible exposure to measles when travelling and ensure that their childhood vaccinations are up-to-date.
