Measles outbreaks are reported in Ireland, Romania, UK (West Midlands), Ethiopia, Philippines (Capiz), Canada (Ontario), Mexico (Guanajuato and Sonora), USA (Pennsylvania) and New Zealand (Auckland and Waikato).

Travellers should be aware that the highly contagious measles virus occurs worldwide and that outbreaks can occur unexpectedly. All travellers should ensure that their childhood vaccinations (including measles) are up-to-date prior to travelling.
