Measles outbreaks reported in several countries (update)

Measles cases, deaths and outbreaks have been reported from the following countries:

United Kingdom - The Northeast region in England has reported over 100 cases, a quarter of whom have required hospitalization.

Democratic Republic of the Congo - 100 cases; 11 deaths in Djolu Health Zone in the Tshuapa District, Equateur Province.

Namibia - 30 cases in Oniipa Constituency, Oshikoto Region

Pakistan

  • Punjab - 4 more children have died; total deaths in province now 18
