Measles situation in Auckland, New Zealand aggravated by arrival of another infected person by plane

To date, a total of 39 cases of measles have been recorded in Auckland so far. The situation was aggravated by the arrival of an airline passenger with measles who flew on Thai Airways flight TG491 on June 19th while infectious. Authorities are warning anyone who was on this flight to be aware of the symptoms of measles and consult their physician if they become ill.

Traveller who were on this flight or who are visiting Auckland should be aware of the risk of exposure to measles and ensure that their childhood vaccinations are up-to-date.
