Advice For Travellers

The West Nile season this year is milder than last year, but travellers to areas where this virus has been found can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Although the risk is low for the general traveller, travellers should be aware that there is no vaccine or treatment for West Nile fever.
