More cases of West Nile Fever reported in Tunisia (update)

So far, a total of 28 cases of West Nile fever have been reported from Gabes, Jendouba, Kebili, Mahdia, and Monastir Governorates. The Bizerte governorate has reported 5 new cases, one of whom has died. Since there is no vaccine or treatment for infections with West Nile fever virus, travellers to areas where the West Nile Fever virus has been found can reduce their risk of exposure to this virus by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
