More cholera in Juba, South Sudan

The continuing cholera outbreak in Juba has now resulted in a total of 396 cases including 26 deaths in 64 villages in eight payams of Juba County. There are also reports of 14 suspected cases and 1 death in Bor, Jonglei State.

Advice For Travellers

All travellers to any area where cholera has been reported can reduce the risk of exposure to this infection by strictly observing all food and water precautions. If gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g., vomiting and profuse watery diarrhoea) develop while visiting the affected area, travellers should seek medical care at once.
