More deadly politically motivated violence in Karachi, Pakistan

Two bombs were detonated in the commercial hub in Karachi in a politically motivated attack targeting a local political party office of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) party ahead of the general elections on May 11th. At least 3 people were killed and 34 others injured. Given the high risk of further violence prior to the elections, travellers should exercise extreme caution in Pakistan and reconsider plans for visiting this country at this time.
