Two men were shot and killed at the edge of Tahrir Square by unknown gunmen as demonstrators defied curfew orders. A total of 54 people have died during demonstrations in the past 7 days. In addition, there are reports of increasing sexual assaults on women demonstrators. Travellers should always exercise caution and avoid all public and political demonstrations since they may become violent without prior notice.
