More deaths due to dengue fever in Lahore, Pakistan

Health authorities have reported 8 more deaths due to the on-going dengue fever outbreak in Lahore. The total number of deaths in the entire Punjab province has now reached 100. At least 434 new patients have been diagnosed with dengue fever in the province. Most of these cases are from Lahore where hospital services are being stretched to accommodate the number of patients.

Travellers to this city and province should be aware of the risk of exposure to dengue fever and take all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
