More deaths reported from plague in Madagascar

There have been 52 deaths during the current plague outbreak across Madagascar. A total of 189 cases were reported. Of the 44 districts with plague, districts that are currently reporting cases include Amparafaravola, Miarinarivo, Tsiroanomandidy, and Ankazobe.

While the risk of exposure to plague is quite low, any travellers can reduce the risk of exposure to plague by taking all necessary measures to avoid flea bites in areas where plague is occurring.
