More than 350,000 cases of malaria in Zimbabwe

A total of 377,892 cases of malaria have been reported this year. The majority of the cases were registered in Manicaland, Mashonaland Central and Mashonaland East. There have been 351 deaths reported so far. Travellers to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
