More violence in Nigeria's Kaduna State

At least 20 people were killed when gunmen opened fire on Muslim worshippers as they were leaving a mosque in northern Nigeria's Kaduna State. The incident took place in the remote village called Dogo Dawa. This incident is yet another violent episode in the on-going sectarian violence in northern Nigeria. Travellers should exercise caution and be aware that several countries advise their citizens to reconsider travelling to Nigeria at this time due to the very high threat of terrorist attacks, high risk of kidnapping, unpredictable security situation, heightened risk of violent civil unrest and violent crime.
