More West Nile Fever cases in Europe

As in the USA, sporadic cases continue to be reported by several European countries. The latest countries to report at least 1 case include Austria (1 case in Vienna), Serbia (1 case in Juno-Banatski district) and Israel (4 cases in the Northern and Central districts and Tel Aviv).

Advice For Travellers

While the risk for the general traveller is low, since there is no vaccine or treatment for West Nile fever, travellers to areas where this virus has been found can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
