More yellow fever in Luanda Province, Angola - update

Since the first cases of yellow fever were identified at the end of last December, the number of infected people has grown to 99 suspected cases and 26 confirmed cases through laboratory testing. One more death has been reported (total now 8 deaths).

Advice For Travellers

Travellers to areas where there is a risk of exposure to yellow fever can reduce that risk by obtaining a yellow fever vaccination before travelling or before visiting an outbreak area. In addition, travellers should take all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.

Angola requires all arriving persons to provide proof of yellow fever vaccination.
