Mt. Sinabung (Indonesia) eruptions cause some travel disruption

Recent continuing eruptions of Mount Sinabung have caused a small number of flight cancellations and delays due to ash cloud. Nearby villages are completely covered with ash, and forested areas along the Lau Borus River in the Berastepu vllage have been destroyed. Forests south of the volcano are on fire. A spokesperson for the Mt. Sinabung Observation Station said volcanic activities remain high and further eruptions are expected.
