Mumps in 7 counties in Oklahoma, USA

Health authorities in the state of Oklahoma are reporting extensive transmission of mumps in 7 counties. So far, of the 324 identified cases, nearly 300 of them have been reported in Garfield County alone. Sporadic cases have occurred in Canadian, McClain, Osage, Tulsa, Woods, and Kay counties.

Advice For Travellers

The number of reported cases of mumps across the USA this year (approximately 2,900 cases in 45 states and the District of Columbia) is double the number reported last year.
