Nigerian government imposes restriction on road travel on March 28 election day

General elections in Nigeria will be held on 28 March 2015. In addition to closing land and sea borders, the government has imposed restrictions on road travel on March 28 due to violence in the past during the elections process. Exercise caution particularly in the states of Anambra, Cross Rivers, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Imo, Kwara, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Ovo and not to travel to the states of Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Kano, Kaduna, Plateau and Yobe states and to the riverine areas of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta and Rivers.
