No yellow fever outbreak in Bukomansimbi District, Uganda

On July 20th, Sitata published an alert regarding a possible outbreak of yellow fever in Bukomansimbi District. Laboratory tests for yellow fever have been negative.

Advice For Travellers

Although there was a possibility that an existing yellow fever outbreak had spread to the Bukomansimbi District, this is not the case based on negative laboratory testing of samples from patients. Nevertheless, all travellers to Uganda should obtain a yellow fever vaccination at least 10 days prior to arrival in this country.
