Advice For Travellers

While the risk for the general traveller may appear to be low, given the large population of the area, the risk may vary from place to place. There may be many more people infected with dengue in the community than the reports indicate. Many persons with dengue fever do not seek medical care and are not reported to health authorities. As a result, all travellers can minimize their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites
