Personal security lacking in Libya; warnings to avoid travel

Repeated attacks on foreign diplomatic and aid centres in Libya's eastern city of Benghazi have made it very dangerous for non-locals to visit, work and live there. An attack with a homemade bomb on Sunday at a Coptic church in Dafniya, close to the western city of Misrata, killed 2 Egyptian men and wounded 2 others. The near total lack of personal security across Libya has prompted several countries to advise their citizens to avoid all travel to this country.
