Planned evacuation of area in Thessaloniki, Greece, on February 12, 2017

On Sunday, February 12, 2017, there will be a planned evacuation in Thessaloniki around the main railway line in order to defuse an unexploded World War 2 bomb. Up to 60,000 residents living within 2 kilometres around the area of the bomb site will be asked to stay away from the area for up to five hours.
