Police and students clash in Letpadan, Burma

Hundreds of police in Burma clashed with student protesters , kicking and beating the students as they dragged them into trucks, ending a days-long standoff in the town of Letpadan.

More protests may continue. Often the protests take place near Shwedagon and Sule Pagodas.

Do not photograph police, the protests, or military installations or personal. Foreigners have been arrested and jailed or deported in the past for criticizing the government in public. In some countries, it is illegal for foreigners to participate in demonstrations.
