June 30 marks the second anniversary of the June 30 Revolution in Egypt when mass protests with millions of participants demanded the president’s resignation, resulting in the 2013 Egyptian coup d'état.

July 3 marks the celebration of the military’s announcement that the incumbent president had been ousted, the suspention of the constitution, and the appointment of an interim leader.
