Presidential Election in Sierra Leone

The presidential elections for Sierra Leone are scheduled for 7th March 2018 with a potential run off election two weeks later.

Although Sierra Leone has relatively peaceful transitions of power, there is always the potential for civil unrest. Travellers should avoid political rallies and large demonstrations as they may become, or be the target of, violence. Vehicular movement will be restricted on election day, expect disruptions to travel.
