Protest in Skopje, Macedonia, March 7, 2017

The U.S. Embassy in Skopje has posted a notice to U.S. citizens that there will be a protest today in front of the Government building on Ilindenska Blvd at 17:00 p.m, with about 6,000 people expected to participate. Protesters will march to the Parliament building on 11 Oktomvri.

Advice

Minimize safety risk by avoiding areas of large public gatherings or demonstrations. Even peaceful situations can quickly and unexpectedly escalate and become violent.
