Protests against monarchy in Spain

Thousands of people demonstrated Saturday against the continuation of the monarchy in about 40 cities across Spain. Organizers claimed about 15,000 were in the streets, however, police stated the number was about 4,000. Smaller protests took place in Barcelona, Valencia, Bilbao, Oviedo and other Spanish cities.

Although these demonstrations were peaceful, avoid public gatherings or demonstrations in any country since even peaceful demonstrations can escalate quickly into violence.
